Prenatal wellness, including massage, fitness, and nutrition services are often seen as a luxury; however, we believe that every expectant mother  should be able to enjoy the benefits of a strong and healthy pregnancy. These "gifts" should not be limited showers, birthdays, and babymoons, but should be enjoyed throughout the entire pregnancy.

The forth trimester of pregnancy is real.  The body spent 3/4 of a year preparing for and growing a little one.  It takes at least the rest of the year to begin the recovery process. In most cases, bodywork may be resumed within days of delivery. Gentle exercise may begin following a physician's clearance. Breastfeeding nutrition information should be provided right away.  Take the first 12 weeks following your pregnancy to retrain your body, regain your strength, improve your confidence, and nurture your emotional health; then round out the final three months of your postpartum period to set an attainable goal, just for yourself.

PRENATAL MASSAGE
Specialized massage therapy treatment techniques can help to minimize common discomforts and complaints associated with pregnancy, including stress and neuromuscular pain & strain. Sessions may be performed in our office or in the comfort of your own home, even if on bedrest. We use the sidelying or semi-reclined positions, with props and pillows, which are safer than any face down methods. It is recommended that expectant moms get a massage as often as she goes to the pregnancy care provider.

POSTNATAL MASSAGE
In most cases, women can benefit from postpartum massage within a few days of giving birth, regardless of whether the birth was uneventful or traumatic. Pain may also arise from holding, feeding, carrying, or sleeping with your child. Massage therapy can help with postpartum back pain, swelling, and postural dysfunction.

PARTNER'S MASSAGE AND YOGA
Partners also have the power to improve the pregnancy experience. We can teach couples to touch and stretch each other in safe, nurturing, and effective ways through our Couples Massage & Partner Yoga sessions, with results and benefits that last a lifetime.

GENTLE LYMPHATIC MASSAGE
The lymphatic system is a significant component of our immune system. The delicate, but hard-working vessels are just beneath the skin's surface, and may become congested due to illness, allergies, infection, after surgery, or simple stress. Performed by a Certified Lymphatic Therapist with over 10 year's experience, this therapeutic technique helps to decrease fluid build-up within lymph nodes that may lead alleviate or stave off pain, heaviness, stiffness, or lingering infections. This massage is especially useful for concerns around breastfeeding or after breast cancer treatment.

THERAPEUTIC BREAST MASSAGE
Breast massage will help clear stagnant milk ducts, allowing the milk to flow more freely, leading to more efficient breast emptying, and finally, higher milk production. It can also help mothers who have chronic mastitis by stimulating the lymphatic, blood, and milk vessels, creating a healthier environment overall. Breast massage can help to regulate hormones, decrease pain after surgery, relieve engorgement, decrease risk of breast cancer, decrease the appearance of scars and stretch marks, and improve skin tone. It is performed and then taught in a series of 3 or 4 sessions.

INFANT MASSSAGE INSTRUCTION and

MOVEMENT THERAPY
Infant massage is an ancient parenting tradition that is being recently re-discovered, adapted, and appreciated by the western world. Research supports the significance in the nurturing touch of newborns for optimal health, growth, and development. We can teach a session to the parents of 1 baby or to a small group of parents. The specific benefits of infant massage are improved weight gain, increased brain development, enhanced sensory processing, improved nursing and feeding experiences, reduced colic and overall fussiness, more efficient digestion, increased family bonding, and reduced stress. It also helps to decrease the risk of postpartum depression and is safe and effective for medically fragile infants.

MOM'S MEDITATION
Guided meditation for new and expectant moms will help to center yourself, and clear unnecessary and anxiety-inducing thoughts that make us tired, overwhelmed, fearful, or inadequate. Each session includes an ancient breathing exercise, intention setting, and (optional) group processing. You will be provided with tips to incorporate meditation into your daily life. Think you don't have time for meditation? Ancient wisdom says that if you don't have time for 20 minutes of meditation, you need an hour.

HELPFUL EXERCISE AFTER LOSS (H.E.A.L.)
Unfortunately, not every pregnant mom is able to leave the hospital with her baby. Even if a mother suffers a miscarriage, a still birth, or the loss of a child after birth, she can still benefit from exercise after pregnancy. While there is no new baby in the home, the body has still undergone the same physical and hormonal changes as every pregnancy. Please contact us for more information about our supportive, intimate, in-home sessions to help begin the healing process.

PREGNANCY NUTRITION

During pregnancy, nutrition often gets a major overhaul. Contrary to popular belief, pregnant moms are not eating for two. Whether the goal is to provide the optimal nutrients to your growing baby, minimize complications, improve your bone health, make healthy food choices, monitor portion control, or manage nausea or reflux, we can help to create a custom, plant-centered eating guidelines to provide a great foundation for you, your baby, and your entire family.

BREASTFEEDING NUTRITION
Breastfeeding in and of itself can be overwhelming, but once you begin thinking about nutrition, it can become especially challenging. However, there are nutrients that help to increase milk supply, improve immune health, decrease colic, decrease eczema, eliminate allergies, avoid common illnesses, and help mom to return to pre-pregnancy weight. Take this time to learn how to enjoy a nutrient-dense, well-balanced, milk-boosting lifestyle.
